Ir. Dr. Stephanie Chan Yen San
Full Professor and Head of the Department of Chemical and Energy Engineering,
Curtin University Malaysia
Ir. Dr. Stephanie Chan Yen San is a Full Professor and Head of the Department of Chemical and Energy Engineering at Curtin University Malaysia. She is a Professional Engineer and an ASEAN Professional Engineer registered under the Board of Engineers, Malaysia. She is also a Chartered Professional Engineer under Engineers Australia. She was invited as a visiting scholar to Hyogo University Himeji Japan in 2017 and 2018, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan in 2023, and the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Thailand. Stephanie has made over 70 scholarly contributions, with H-index of 25. Her current research interests emphasize on bionanotechnology, agricultural biotechnology, energy materials and bioprocessing of phytomedicine for therapeutic actions. She was also awarded with multiple awards, including ‘The Young Women Award, 2018’, ‘The Young Researcher Award, 2021, INTEX 2022, etc. She also filed several patents and copyrights that derived from the research projects.
Dr. Fung Fun Man
Chemistry Educator, National University of Singapore (NUS)
Dr Fung is a chemistry educator at the National University of Singapore (NUS), well-known for his dedication to enhancing science education through the integration of digital tools. Fun Man earned his Ph.D. from NUS Chemistry and is the lead editor of two books. The first, titled “10 Things You Must Know About the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO),” (World Scientific Publishing) serves as a comprehensive guide to this competition. The second, “Technology-Enabled Blended Learning Experiences for Chemistry Education and Outreach,” (Elsevier) serves as a valuable resource for educators and researchers seeking to incorporate technology into chemistry education and its impact on fostering engaging learning experiences. In 2022, Dr Fung was elected council member of the Singapore National Institute of Chemistry (SNIC) and is currently the chair of the ACS International Chemical Sciences Chapter Singapore.
Dr. Wong Woei Fuh
Research Impact Consultant, iesResearch, iGroup (Asia Pacific) Ltd
Dr. Wong Woei Fuh has a diverse experience extends over three decades from a researcher to an engineer and later, an information specialist. During his 10 years with Web of Science since 2004, he actively engaged with researchers and academics in Asia Pacific resolving their challenges of bibliometric insights and research assessment. In 2015, Dr. Wong started a consulting firm in Singapore and he founded a research program, Research 123, preparing young researchers with future research skills. His consultancy work focuses on three areas: Research Visibility; Research Impact based on UN SDG (United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals); and Research Commercialization. He holds a Ph.D. in Polymer Science & Technology from the University of Manchester, UK, and a MBA from Louisville University, USA
